A seasoned entrepreneur and visionary business leader with a career spanning over 25 years in the industrial roofing and infrastructure industry, Vinay Bansal is the Founder and CEO of Shiv Shakti Fibre Udyog (Rooffit). Over the years, he has steered Rooffit to the top of the market to become a reputed brand synonymous with innovation, quality, and reliability.


During his tenure, the company commissioned India's first full-fledged FRP sheet line and established long-term relationships with industry-leading clients across industries. In an exclusive interview with Corporate World, Bansal shares his leadership strategies, long-term goals, and the values that have made it successful across the world.


Q. How has your 25-year journey as CEO influenced your approach to leadership and influenced the strategic growth at Shiv Shakti Fibre Udyog (Rooffit)?

Over the past 25 years, my journey as CEO has been one of evolution, resilience, and continuous learning. Shiv Shakti Fibre Udyog, under the brand Rooffit, started with a singular focus on quality and customer satisfaction. As we grew, I realized the importance of investing in people, processes, and technology. We became India’s first company to introduce a fully automated continuous machine for FRP sheet production, a reflection of our drive to lead through innovation.


Leadership, for me, means being hands-on yet empowering. I believe in leading by example, staying accessible to my team and clients alike. Every milestone we achieved reinforced my commitment to building a company rooted in trust, innovation, and performance. Today, we are proud to be associated with prestigious clients like IOCL, EIL, Reliance, and L&T, and our legacy is built on the foundation of long-term relationships, timely execution, and a solution-oriented mind-set. This journey has shaped me into a leader who values sustainability, ethical growth, and excellence.


Q. How do you manage daily operations while keeping an eye on long-term goals?

At Rooffit, we strike a balance between operational precision and strategic foresight. Daily operations are streamlined through well-defined SOPs and a strong, empowered middle management team that ensures quality, speed, and adherence to timelines. My role is to oversee the bigger picture while ensuring we never lose sight of customer expectations on the ground. Regular review meetings, project-wise dashboards, and performance trackers help in maintaining operational efficiency.


At the same time, we are deeply focused on our long-term goals—scaling up our manufacturing capacity, expanding into new geographies like Southeast Asia and Africa, and constantly upgrading our product offerings through R&D. Our legacy with clients like CPWD, Railways, and several refineries is built not just on quality but on a commitment to the future. By staying agile, adopting digital tools, and keeping customer satisfaction at the core, we ensure Rooffit remains a brand that delivers today while building for tomorrow.

Q. As a leader, how do you keep your team motivated?

Motivating a team begins with trust and clarity. I believe in open communication, clearly defined goals, and recognition of achievements—big or small. At Rooffit, we foster a culture where every team member knows their contribution is crucial to our collective success. Regular town halls, team reviews, and site visits help me stay connected to every department. I also ensure continuous learning opportunities—whether it’s product training, client exposure, or inter-departmental collaboration. Celebrating wins together and acknowledging challenges as a team strengthens morale. What truly drives motivation is the sense of ownership we infuse. From factory workers to project managers, everyone is encouraged to think like a stakeholder. This has enabled us to execute landmark projects with discipline and pride. The passion with which our team serves clients like EIL, L&T, and NTPC is a testimony to the sense of belonging we’ve nurtured. Motivation isn’t occasional—it’s embedded in our work culture at Rooffit.


Q. What is the core USP of Shiv Shakti Fibre Udyog (Rooffit), and how does it set you apart in the industry?

Rooffit stands apart for its rare blend of legacy, innovation, and delivery excellence. Our core USP lies in our fully integrated in-house capabilities—from design to installation—backed by India’s first fully automated continuous machine for FRP sheet manufacturing. We are also the only Indian company with a BIS license for FRP sheets, ensuring quality that meets national standards.


What truly differentiates us is our customer-first approach. We don’t just supply products—we understand project needs, recommend the best solutions, and deliver ahead of schedule. Whether its PEB structures, or FRP/Polycarbonate roofing, our offerings are built to perform in extreme conditions, including corrosive and coastal environments. Our execution strength has earned us repeat business from top EPCs and government bodies. Q. How do you ensure quality and consistency across your diverse product offerings?

Quality is not a checklist—it’s a mindset at Rooffit. We have an in-house quality lab that follows strict testing protocols, with dedicated teams for raw material inspection, in-process quality checks, and final product evaluation. Our BIS-certified FRP sheets, PEBs, PUF panels, and galvanized roofing systems go through rigorous testing for durability, UV resistance, fire retardancy, and load-bearing strength. We use standardized machinery and automated production processes to ensure dimensional precision and finish consistency across batches. Additionally, we source raw materials from trusted vendors and maintain traceability across every stage of production. With a dedicated team for after-sales service and technical support, we stay aligned with evolving client expectations. Our ISO-compliant systems and regular training for workers further enhance consistency. Whether it’s a refinery, a cold storage, or a warehouse, our clients can be assured that a Rooffit product always meets the highest benchmarks of quality, safety, and reliability.


Q. What are Rooffit’s future plans in terms of business expansion, both in India and internationally?

Our future roadmap is focused on scaling smartly and sustainably. In India, we are expanding our footprint in key industrial zones with upcoming manufacturing hubs and faster delivery capabilities. We’re also enhancing our offerings in allied product categories like PEB, FRP Sheets, Metal Sheets, PC Sheets, and accessories to serve as a one-stop solution for infrastructure needs. Internationally, we have done exports to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe and Africa, where there is a growing demand for cost-effective and durable construction materials.

Strategic collaborations, local partnerships, and a dedicated export team are helping us navigate these markets. We aim to become a preferred global partner for PEB and Roofing & Cladding sustainable building solutions. With a strong focus on research, digitalization, and environmentally conscious manufacturing, we envision Rooffit not just as a supplier but as a long-term solution provider across borders. Our brand is built on trust, and we intend to take that legacy global.
