Tata Consumer Products Reports

The company’s consolidated EBITDA rose 18% year-on-year to ₹794 crore, while consolidated net profit increased 16% to ₹470 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.

The results reflect continued momentum across Tata Consumer Products’ India branded portfolio, supported by volume growth in core categories and sustained expansion of its emerging businesses.

India Branded Business Maintains Growth Momentum

The company recorded 11% underlying volume growth in its India branded business during the quarter.

Growth businesses remained a significant contributor to the overall performance, expanding 40% year-on-year and accounting for approximately 38% of the India business.

The salt business continued to perform strongly, with revenue increasing 15% during the quarter.

Among the company's emerging categories, Tata Sampann reported 57% revenue growth, while the Ready-to-Drink (RTD) portfolio recorded 47% growth. The performance was supported by wider distribution, premiumisation and continued product innovation.

Tea Business Remains Under Pressure

The company's India tea business experienced relatively subdued demand during the quarter. Tea volumes remained broadly flat, while revenue declined marginally following pricing actions.

The softer performance in tea was partly offset by growth across other categories, highlighting the benefits of Tata Consumer Products' increasingly diversified portfolio.

Capital Foods and Organic India Deliver Double-Digit Growth

Capital Foods and Organic India together reported 15% revenue growth during the quarter.

The combined businesses faced some pressure from shipping disruptions affecting exports. However, domestic revenue grew 24%, indicating continued strength in the Indian market.

The businesses remain important components of Tata Consumer Products' strategy to expand beyond its traditional tea and salt franchises and build a broader food and wellness portfolio.

Tata Starbucks Revenue Increases 15%

Tata Starbucks continued to expand its presence in the Indian market, reporting 15% year-on-year revenue growth during Q2 FY27.

The business benefited from improved same-store sales momentum and continued store expansion.

As of September 30, 2026, Tata Starbucks operated 505 stores across 81 cities in India. The company added seven net new stores during the quarter, including two Starbucks Reserve stores.

International Business Records Moderate Growth

Tata Consumer Products' international business reported 7% revenue growth in reported currency during the quarter. On a constant-currency basis, revenue declined 2%.

The UK business remained affected by weaker category consumption, while Tetley continued to perform ahead of the broader category. The Canadian business also maintained growth across its regular and specialty segments.

Focus on Innovation and Portfolio Expansion

Innovation remained a key part of the company's growth strategy during the quarter. Tata Consumer Products launched 22 new products, spanning categories including health and wellness, convenience and premium offerings.

The company is also continuing to invest in digital transformation, including the deployment of artificial intelligence-led initiatives across sales and operational functions.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the results, Sunil D’Souza, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Consumer Products, said the company delivered its second consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth in FY27, supported by strong underlying volume growth in India.

Management highlighted the continued performance of the company's growth businesses, including Tata Sampann, RTD beverages and Tata Starbucks, while maintaining its focus on strengthening core brands and scaling emerging categories.

What the Q2 Results Mean for Tata Consumer Products

The latest results indicate that Tata Consumer Products is increasingly relying on a combination of established brands and newer growth platforms to drive expansion.

While the tea category continues to face demand-related challenges, strong performance in salt, packaged foods, RTD beverages and Starbucks helped support overall growth.

The company's ability to sustain volume growth while expanding its higher-growth businesses will remain important as it moves into the second half of FY27.

With revenue up 14%, EBITDA up 18% and net profit up 16%, Tata Consumer Products has maintained a strong growth trajectory in the first half of FY27.
